I'm a strong believer in the value of experiential learning. I've been in the hair design business for 22 years, with perspectives of a stylst, colorist, as well as business owner. I'm good at what I do because I understand all facets of the business--not just cutting and styling, but listening to the client, and good business management.

I learned the basic skills behind cosmetology the same way all stylists start out . . . but what sets me--and my salon--apart from the rest is not just that I keep up with current trends, continually update my skills through in-house classes that I schedule for myself and the other stylists, but because I know how to listen to my clients. I give my clients what they ask for, not what I think they need (uness that's what they ask!). Knowing how to put one's ego aside while still providing expert advice and incorporating decades of well-honed skills is the key to running a quality salon and turning out a string of happy, repeat customers.
